Pius Kung

Pius Kung is a filmmaker, actor, and production manager based between Australia and Hong Kong. Drawing from a multicultural upbringing across Hong Kong, China, Australia, and the United States, he brings a globally informed and emotionally grounded perspective to storytelling, with a strong focus on queer and Asian narratives.

His work has screened internationally at festivals including the Palm Springs International ShortFest, Hong Kong Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, Out on Film, and the Rotterdam Independent Film Festival. The LGBTQ+ web series I’M A FOOL FOR YOU, which he starred in and produced, has garnered over 3.5 million views worldwide and is currently streaming on GagaOOLala.In 2022, Pius was selected by Screen Australia and Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) for the National Talent Camp, where he developed and pitched an original series under the mentorship of leading Australian screen industry creatives.

Alongside his creative practice, Pius has established himself as a versatile production manager across film and television, with credits including Separated at Birth (ABC), White Fever (ABC), Yesterday Island (Peking Pictures), and Saccharine (Carver Films). Balancing both creative and production roles, he is committed to telling bold, inclusive stories that connect across cultures and communities.
